About April & the Fools

Formed in 1980, April & the Fools morphed out of the Lillettes, with the addition of Ken Hogg on drums. Ken was a very experienced drummer and had worked with Phil and Dave before in Flesh. He was previously with the Parrots and Nicky & the Dots.

Phil and Barb had written a few songs and the band had moved into their arch at the Vault. Phil had installed his Phillips 4 track (using

Sound On Sound) in the Fools' arch and there was lots of recording going on into the small hours.

The song You Do was featured on Vaultage 80 and was the only track on the album actually recorded underground in the Vault. However, the band was shortlived, after a handful of gigs they went their seperate ways.
